Making the Most Out of Windows 7

If you want to make the most out of your Windows 7 software, you should take note of certain tips and short-hand that will make your experience better.  What are some of these tips? First, you can use shortcuts. Windows 7 remains one of the best platforms out there, so why don’t you make the most out of it?

For instance, if you press the windows key simultaneously with the left and right arrow keys, it will crop the window corresponding to the left and side of the screen depending on which arrow you press. You can vertically stretch a window by simultaneously hitting the Windows key along with Shift and the Up Arrow. Similarly, you can zoom in and out of your display by pressing the + or – keys.

You can clear the background programs by pressing the Windows key plus the Home key. The Windows 7 search is can be accessed by clicking Start, hit the Windows key and type the name of the program that you intend to run.  Windows 7 is very precise in finding the right match and you can begin to run that file by pressing enter. If more than a single match is find, simply use the up-down arrow keys to browse through the selection and select the file you intend to run. Then hit Enter.

Sometimes, you may need to run an app as an administrator. You can run any program in admin mode by using the search box. Look for the program you intend to run. Don’t press Enter directly however – instead hit Ctrl+Shift+Enter in order to run it in admin mode. If you intend to click and run a program as an administrator, hold down the Ctrl+Shift key and then click the icon.

You can pin programs to the Taskbar. This allows you to access them easily without having to click on Start. Pinning a program to the task-bar simply requires you to right click on the app and look for the option that says Pin to Taskbar. You can simply do this by dragging the icon to the taskbar as well.

These are just some suggestions for you to maximize your use of Windows 7 software. Go ahead and experiment with whatever modes of using Windows 7 work for you. The important thing is to stay productive while allowing your creative juices to flow. Win 7 is one of Microsoft’s winning achievements when it comes to OS’s and robust software in general.

Windows 7 64 Bit

Thinking of getting a Windows7 Pro  64 bit? When Windows Vista came out, it sort of made 64-bit computing the mainstream. Almost no one really cared about it though. This is because Windows XP had its own version of 64-bit. But that was passed around almost carefree without regard for customers who could not distinguish 32 from 64. But now that Windows 7 has been available for some time, retain versions include both a 32 and 64 bit version. Therefore is 64 bit useful? Actually, it is.

But when it all comes down to things – the answer may be a bit complex. You won’t find any software – these days anyway – that doesn’t go with a 32 bit, this certainly includes Windows 7. Most professionals may even have difficulty differentiating 32 and 64 bit apps in most situations. But 64 bit gives you options that 32 bit doesn’t. And suffice it to say, you need to get 64 to take the fullest advantage of them.

The most beneficial advantage of 64 bit is memory. A 32 bit system is limited to some 4GB of RAM. Not even that – 3.25GB maybe because a portion of the RAM will be occupied by BIPS, PCI and the PCI Express buses among other things. But a 64 bit system – which has 264 memory addresses will allow your computer to be more efficient at interchanging processes in and out of its physical memory. This makes the performance faster. A 64-but OS may theoretically have 16 exabites – that is 16 billion GB. But of course Microsoft may limit it to 16TB on address space and allow some 128GB of RAM only. That’s still a lot more than fundamental memory needs.

If you don’t have 4GB of memory or more of it, then you may not be able to take full advantage of running 64-bit windows. But a 64 bit OS, given a relatively large memory store such as 12GB – can make a significant difference when deploying the software. One of the most common examples is Adobe Photoshop CS-4. 64-bit support, however has become increasingly prominent in apps that are complex and intensive on processing requirements.

Of course, in order to run Windows 7 Pro 64-bit, you will need 64 bit drivers. All device drivers need a digital signature as well. Not all apps will work on 64-bit Windows but you may need to find 64 versions of those applications. But support for 64-bit has already increased as years have gone by so there is a higher chance your usage of this type of software will be very smooth. Why not try getting Windows 7 Pro today? Maximize your business and home computing abilities.

The Best Things about Windows 7

Windows 7 Home Premium may just be the OS you need if you are looking forward to stepping into the future of Microsoft’s latest upgrades. Sure enough, it has been around for some years now. But if you aren’t familiar with what the benefits of Windows 7 are, here is a good primer on the software. There are small differences, while there are major changes from its predecessors – but to date, it is still a useful platform for business and home computing.

What are its best features? First, is speed. In spite of some issues that Windows Vista had before, speed is probably Win 7’s number one asset. Windows 7 is more responsive and dynamic than any of its former predecessors. Microsoft has put a lot of time into perfecting the response of the Start Menu. Windows 7 makes you feel that you are more in control and Win 7 gives you a faster boot time than Vista. It gives you a speedier and graceful boot.

Second is compatibility. Windows 7 can outperform Windows Vista. A lot of people and organizations that used Windows XP did not necessarily acquire the necessary upgrades right away. But all of the apps on Vista still does run on Win 7. Provided you have the right hardware, the OS should run smoothly on your device.

Third, you don’t have to bust your butt on hardware! Vista has been known to be so demanding on the end of machinery. However, Windows 7 may run on low end hardware – thus making a smoother transition from Windows XP. Windows 7 may also run on netbooks and this provides an efficient counterpart for XP. Windows 7 Starter, however only runs 3 apps at a time. So it may be best to get the Home Premium.

One of the coolest things about Windows 7 is its search tool which has been significantly improved from its predecessors. For instance, you can type the word [mouse] – and the mouse option in the control panel will pop up thus creating nice subdivisions from files, folders to other apps. Libraries is an expansion of the My Documents folder. Different Libraries including Documents and Pictures give you access to different locations so you do not have to cram everything all in one spot.

If you feel that Windows 7 Home Premium is the one for you, then the best thing to do is to go for it!

Inside Windows 7 Home Premium

Windows 7 Home Premium, some of you may already be contemplating on installing it. You can think of Windows 7 as a tighter version of Vista. It has improved upon what needed changing resulting in a platform that offers better stability and security. Windows 7 is also targeted to those who have grown so accustomed to Windows XP.

Of course, there may be several adjustments you need to make before getting the software, but that’s all part of the territory. Here are some of the advantages that Windows 7 can give you.

*a lighter system

Windows 7 does not usurp system resources the way others have said Vista to do. Win 7 has faster booting time and you can save reasonable costs on hardware. Because of its speed, you can trust that your productivity will not be compromised when you start deploying this OS. To illustrate, even a PC that has 1GHz when 1GB of memory can already use the OS, although 2GB of RAM is recommended and 4 gig if you choose to run the Win 7 64 bit.

*easy to navigate

Because of Aero Peek, you can now view desktop contents because open windows are essentially transparent. Aero Shake can enable you to pull up an active window and shake your mouse so that the other panes will be minimized. Finally, one more unique function of the new interface is the Aero Snap, this will resize windows so that half the screen is occupied when you bring something to one or the other side of your screen.

*stable

Most hardware available can easily run Windows 7 and it will often work the moment you install it. More often than not, you will not need additional drivers. Of course, finding the updates is very easy once you already have your Win 7 installed.

*safe and secure

You will not be bombarded with pop-ups in dealing with issues of program access. This is because Windows 7 allows you to monitor the prompts that you receive and there is a slider bar that goes along with the alert messages. You can trust that things will run just as they should without having to second-guess messages from time to time.

Start using Windows 7Home Premium today. You will find that Win 7 has a lot to offer you and you will appreciate it as time goes by. It is an excellent and reliable OS, definitely up there with XP and the best of Microsoft.
